This workshop will study still life in the "alla prima" ( all-in-one sitting ) approach. Students will paint simple set ups in a controlled setting using a full color palette. Through exercises and demonstrations, Dianne will go over the academics and talk about color, composition and technique in a simple easy lanquage. Both beginners and advanced artists will benefit from this class.
You will need...
Titanium White, Cadmium Red Med, Alizarin Crimson, Cadmium Yellow Deep, Cadmium Lemon Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Viridian Green, Ultramarine Blue, and Cerulean Blue, preferably Winsor Newton Artists Series (Best quality, NOT student series) or Rembrandt. I usually buy Rembrandt because they cost less. Easel, canvas- 9 x 12 or 11 x 14, brushes, turpentine (Turpenoid Natural) and paper towels.
Every color on this palette is important. Please try to have them all. I don't like Grumbacher paints at all. I buy most of my supplies on www.aswexpress.com. They have the best prices.
