This class will go outside on days 50 degrees and up, so you need to be prepared forthe weather by having warm clothes, a hat and a French Easel.

Class will begin with an informative demonstration to help students see how to begin a painting. The instructor will work with students on an individual basis to help them improve at their own speed. There will be many set ups so there is no crowding around a still life. Dianne will blend the discipline of Academic Traditional Methods with the freedom of "Alla Prima" to help students learn the fundamentals to create a painting that is structurally sound in color, composition and technique. Whether you are a beginner or advanced artist you will benefit from this class.

Classes will be cancelled due to weather when schools are cancelled. Cancelled classes will be refunded or added the following week.

You will need an French easel, canvas, brushes, paint (I use Rembrant Titanium White, Cad Lemon, Cad Yellow Deep, Cad Red Med, Alizarin Crimson (Winsor Newton), Yellow Ochre, Viridian Green, Cerulean Blue, Ultramarine Blue) paper towels, turpentine, a hat and warm clothes and anything else you may need to paint.
